Christmas with my Mom's Family

Today we are having Christmas with my Mom's side of the family. I don't see my family that much on that side of the family. It will be good to see my cousins. It should be a pretty fun time.

Christmas Day is Here

Today is Christmas and I spent it with my family. I didn't ask for that much for Christmas. I did get some pretty cool gifts though. I got a blender to make smoothies and a electronic dartboard. We went to my Grandma's for lunch and man she is a good cook. I love Grandma's cooking. Also while I was there we shot clay pigeons. It was a good and fun Christmas Day.

Favre's Last Home Game?

Last night I went to the Packers-Vikings football game at Lambeau Field in Green Bay. This was the first pro football game I have been to in my life. Even though I didn't like either team it was still fun to watch it. This game could have been Favre's last home game of his career if he decides to retire. I'm glad I was there to see it.

Criminal Minds is Awesome

I would just like to talk about the show Criminal Minds. It is about the BAU unit of the FBI. They look at a crime scence and create a profile about the criminals that the police are looking for. It is great show and I recommend watching it to everyone.

A Year Ago Today

A year ago today my Grandpa past away. So today my family and I went to church together. After that we went to my Grandma's for a family lunch. I can't believe it has been a whole year since he has past away. Grandpa will always be in my heart.

Helping at a Softball Camp

Today I helped at a softball camp. There were about 35 girls at the camp. We taught them the basic fundamentals. It went really well.

Christmas Break So Far

So far Christmas break has been great. I have just been relaxing and reffing basketball games. My last basketball game for the year is December 19th. After that I'm sure I will get a little bored because I will have nothing to do. Oh well better to have nothing to do, than have too much to do.

Iowa State vs Iowa

Last night I went to the Iowa State vs Iowa basketball game. I was excited to go watch the game, but I figured it might not be a good game at all. I figured this because both teams are very young. I was right it was not a good game to watch at all. If I was at home I wouldn't have watched the entire thing, but since I was there I had to watch it.

Done for the Semester

Today I finished my last final for the semester. Now it's time for Christmas break and time to relax. I did pretty well on my finals and I think I will make the Dean's list. It was a good semester.

Finals Week Oh Boy!

This week is finals week at college. I need to do well on a couple of them to make sure I get a good grade. Most of my finals I'm not really worried about because I know I have a good grade in that class all ready. Hopefully I will do well.

Possible Head Coach

The other day the varsity coach at the school I coach freshman baseball at resigned. I am very interested in this job and sent in my resume to the school. I have talked to the athletic director and he said that I have a good chance of getting this job. I excited to see what happens.

Basketball Season is Underway

This will be my fourth year officiating basketball games. It a good way to make some extra money inbetween fall baseball and spring baseball. I ref junior high and junior varsity games. I don't do varsity.

Thanksgiving Day and Family

Today I had Thanksgiving with my family. It was a good time, we ate at my Aunt's house. It was good to see some of my family that I don't get to see as often as I would like. We ate a lot of food and watched football.

Still Golfing in November

I can't believe the weather is still nice enough for me to go golfing. It is November and it is suppose to be the winter, but yet it is still in the 50s and 40s. I can't remember a November when it was this nice out. Maybe it will stay like this or maybe we will get it worse later on.

Cardinals World Series Champs

I am a huge cardinals fan. It was amazing how they won the World Series. They went through a lot this season with injuries and other things. The survived and became the best team in baseball. What a season.

Basketball Rules Meeting

Tonight was the rules meeting for basketball. I have to go to one every year to get ceritified. Officiating basketball games is a way for me to get extra money inbetween baseball seasons. The rules meeting are boring, but you have to go.

The series is over

Well I am sad to report that my team did not win the series. It was a good series though, it went all five games. My team had plenty of chances to win, but could not capitalize. Well looks like I am going to be cooking for the other team.

Co-ed Slowpitch, what a game

Tonight I had a slow pitch game. I usually don't play slow pitch, just fast pitch. A team needed an extra guy so I told them I would play with them. Our team is pretty good. The only time we have lost is when we have to forfeit. It's a pretty good time.

Fall Break is Here

Its that time of year for fall break. It has been a crazy fall so far. I am still golfing and it is October. Also baseball is going longer than normal. Next week is our "World Series." We break up into two teams and play a best of 5 series. The losing team has to cook for the winning team.

William Penn's Homecoming 2006

Today was William Penn’s homecoming. It was a good time. In the morning there was an alumni baseball game that I helped at. Than after that it was the football game. We won the football game, which is always good on homecoming. It was awesome.
